This 1966 Pontiac GTO convertible was acquired by the current owner in 2003 and subsequently refinished in white, reupholstered in black, and mechanically overhauled with the installation of a 455ci V8, a Richmond Super T10 four-speed manual transmission, a Currie 9″ rear end, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes, and Global West control arms. Additional equipment includes a black soft top, power steering, 16″ YearOne Rally II wheels, a side-exit exhaust system, a Hurst shifter, an aftermarket AM/FM radio, and a heater. The tires and battery were replaced in preparation for the sale. The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench reupholstered in black vinyl, and interior appointments include a Hurst shifter, seatbelts, an aftermarket AM/FM radio, a heater, and a locking glovebox. The right front and left rear speakers are disconnected. The 455ci V8 was sourced from a 1971 Pontiac and is fitted with Wenzler Series II aluminum cylinder heads, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an Edelbrock intake manifold, a Milodon oil pan, and a side-exit exhaust system.
