It was acquired by the selling dealer in 2020 and was subsequently modified with installation of a BluePrint Engines 347ci stroker V8 linked with a Tremec TKX close-ratio five-speed manual gearbox and a Currie 9” rear end with a limited-slip differential. Further modifications include a fiberglass Shelby-style hood, 15” American Racing wheels, Kelsey-Hayes front disc brakes, a lowered suspension, a Flaming River steering box, a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system, Tri-Y stainless-steel headers, and a Magnaflow dual exhaust system with an X-pipe. The car was finished from the factory in Honey Gold (C) and features rear 3/4 window louvers and chrome bumpers. A steel-reinforced Shelby-style fiberglass hood secured by pins was installed during current ownership, and the rear fenders have been rolled. The paintwork shows signs of wear including areas of fading along with various chips and scratches. Bronze-finished 15” American Racing Torq Thrust wheels are mounted with BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires sized 205/60 up front and 215/65 out back. Braking is handled by Kelsey-Hayes power-assisted front discs and 11” Shelby-style rear drums that were installed as part of the build. Additional work has included the installation of Koni D-spec adjustable shocks, adjustable tubular lower control arms, a front strut tower bar, Cobra Automotive Shelby-style underride traction bars, and a Flaming River steering box. The cabin houses front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in gold vinyl upholstery accompanied by a contrasting dash and door trim as well as brown carpets. A Hurst shift lever exits from the center console, and additional appointments include latch-and-link front lap belts and a RetroSound stereo connected to aftermarket speakers. The seller reports that the headliner stitching is beginning to fail. The replacement 347ci stroker V8 crate engine was sourced from BluePrint Engines of Kearney, Nebraska, and installed as part of the build. Equipment includes a Cobra-branded air cleaner cover and valve covers along with a Holley Sniper electronic fuel injection system, an alloy intake manifold, a Shelby-style alloy oil sump pan, and Tri-Y stainless-steel headers flowing into a Magnaflow dual exhaust system with an X-pipe. The fuel hard lines have been replaced and a replacement fuel tank with a built-in pump has been installed. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Tremec TKX five-speed manual transmission with a White Lightning shifter and a Currie 9” rear end featuring an alloy center section housing a limited-slip differential.
