This MidStates Classic is a Cobra replica that was built in 1990 and is powered by a 351ci Windsor V8 linked with a Tremec five-speed manual transmission and a Jaguar XJ6 differential. The fiberglass bodywork is finished in Deep Jewel Green over black upholstery and additional equipment includes a black soft top, side windows, 15″ Minilite wheels, Wilwood disc brakes, a Mustang II front subframe, a Jaguar XKE rear suspension, Trick Flow Specialties aluminum cylinder heads, a Holley 650-cfm carburetor, a polished roll hoop, side-exit exhaust pipes, and Stewart-Warner gauges. The MidStates Classic fiberglass bodywork is laid over a 4″ round tube frame, and this example is finished in Ford Deep Jewel Green. Additional exterior details include a chrome roll hoop and bumpers, a hood scoop, and side-exit exhaust pipes in addition to a Raydot-style mirror mounted to the left fender, dual windshield-mounted wind wings, and a LeMans-style fuel filler cap. Stone chips are noted around the wheel openings. A black soft top and side windows are included in the sale, and a paint correction was performed in preparation for the sale. Five-lug 15″ Minilite wheels are mounted with Avon CR6ZZ tires sized 225/65 in front and 275/55 out back. The car is equipped with a Ford Mustang II front subframe and a Jaguar XKE rear suspension. The cockpit is equipped with low-back bucket seats trimmed in black upholstery accompanied by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. A fire extinguisher is mounted to the central tunnel, and additional equipment includes an angled shifter, a dash-mounted rear-view mirror, map pockets in both doors, and latch and link four-point harnesses. The 351ci Windsor V8 is said to bored over .030″ and features forged pistons, an Edelbrock camshaft and intake manifold, Trick Flow Specialties aluminum cylinder heads, and a Holley 650-cfm carburetor.
